Miami Valley Surveying & Geomatics was founded with a simple goal: to provide property owners throughout the Miami Valley with professional surveying services that are accurate, straightforward, and accessible.
As an owner-operated surveying firm, we believe clients should have direct access to the professional responsible for their project. From the initial conversation through completion of the survey, we take the time to understand your needs, explain the work being performed, and provide practical solutions for your property.
Today, our focus is residential and small-property surveying, including boundary, property, and topographic surveys. We are building Miami Valley Surveying & Geomatics with a long-term vision of expanding our surveying and geomatics capabilities as the company grows.
About Matthew Newsome, P.S.
Miami Valley Surveying & Geomatics was founded by Dayton native Matthew Newsome, a licensed Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio (P.S. #8863) with more than 15 years of experience in construction and surveying.
Matt's experience includes both the technical and practical sides of working with land and construction projects. His goal in founding Miami Valley Surveying & Geomatics was to create a surveying firm that combines professional expertise with the personal service that can be difficult to find at larger firms.
Matt holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Administration from the University of Cincinnati, as well as Associate degrees in Land Surveying, Engineering Technology, and Construction Management from Sinclair Community College and Cincinnati State. He also holds an ODOT Right-of-Way Certification and a Six Sigma Green Belt and maintains active membership in the Ohio Society of Professional Surveyors at both the local and state levels.
